Outcomes & Destinations

At Caledonian Campus, we believe that successful outcomes are about more than academic qualifications.

We want every young person to leave us with the skills, confidence and experience they need to move successfully into their next stage of life. For some pupils, this may mean further education or training; for others, it may be employment or another positive and sustainable destination.

Through individualised learning, strong relationships and a focus on skills for life, learning and work, we support each pupil to achieve their potential.

Academic Outcomes

Attainment is about more than grades - it’s about preparing pupils for success in life. It reflects what they’ve learned and helps shape their future choices, chances, and confidence.

At Caledonian Campus we have continued to build on the success of our students year on year.  Since 2019 we have seen an increase in the number of qualifications gained, an increase in the level of qualifications gained along with the breadth of the subjects that pupils are gaining qualifications in

Post-16 Destinations & Transitions

Preparing young people for life beyond school is a key part of our work at Caledonian Campus.

Throughout their education, pupils are supported to explore their interests, strengths and aspirations and understand the opportunities available to them.

Our partnership with Skills Development Scotland provides pupils with tailored careers guidance and support around future pathways.

Depending on their individual goals and needs, pupils may progress into:

  • Further education

  • Apprenticeships

  • Employment

  • Training

  • Other positive and sustainable destinations

Preparing for the Future

Our Senior Phase curriculum combines academic qualifications with practical, vocational and wider achievement opportunities.

Through this approach, pupils can develop transferable skills such as:

  • Communication

  • Teamwork

  • Problem-solving

  • Resilience

  • Independence

  • Employability

We also provide opportunities to develop practical skills through areas such as automotive, construction, rural skills, cookery and other vocational learning.

Where appropriate, pupils can also take part in work experience and community-based opportunities, helping them understand the expectations of the workplace and build confidence in real-world settings.

Supporting Successful Transitions

Transition planning is individualised and begins well before a pupil leaves school.

Staff work closely with the young person, their family or carers, Skills Development Scotland and other relevant professionals to identify appropriate next steps.

Our aim is for every young person to leave Caledonian Campus with a clear pathway and the confidence and skills to take their next step.
