Netherton

Nestled in the scenic East Ayrshire countryside, Netherton offers a warm and welcoming home for young people. Our five-bedroom farmhouse, complemented by a semi-independent one-bedroom cottage, provides a safe and supportive environment tailored to individual needs. We are committed to delivering the highest quality of care within a nurturing setting, ensuring that each young person feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.

The house offers two separate lounges one that is designed as a games room, we have a sensory room in the conservatory that has picturess views of the countryside, and a large kitchen.

The extensive garden area provides a range of opportunities for young people with a large space offering a large trampoline lowered into the ground, football goals, climbing frame and swings for the leisure of the young people.

The house has been personalised with young people’s belongings and decorations to make it feel more like home.

At Netherton we pride ourselves in claiming our young people, with positive relationships and nurture at the heart of everything we do. As a team we create a calm and nurturing environment that promotes mental and emotional well-being. The team follow the latest guidance and research to embed the ‘Promise’ and trauma informed practice. Investing in our team to ensure they have the appropriate training in order to ensure best practice is followed and to understand and manage trauma related processes for our children and young people with adverse childhood experiences while offering a nurture based approach to feel a sense of belonging and security.

We hope that the warm family environment we strive to create will give all of the young people we have the privilege of looking after the best care experience possible.
