Admissions & Information for Parents
We understand that choosing the right educational placement is an important decision for young people, families, carers and professionals.
At Caledonian Campus, we work closely with local authorities, families, carers and other professionals to understand each young person's individual needs and identify the right support.
If you would like to discuss a potential placement, our team will be happy to provide further information and answer any questions about our provision.
Referrals
Referrals to Caledonian Campus are made through the relevant Local Authority's Educational Psychology or Social Services teams, particularly for pupils placed from England.
Each potential placement is considered on an individual basis, taking into account the young person's educational, social and emotional needs and the support required for them to make progress.
Who We Support
We provide individualised education for Primary and Secondary aged pupils, including young people with:
-
Learning disabilities (LD)
-
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
-
Social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
-
Other special educational needs (SEN)
Many of our pupils have experienced difficulties within mainstream or previous alternative education settings and require a more individualised approach to learning and support.
We aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment where young people can re-engage with education, develop their confidence and achieve their potential.
Placement Options
We offer flexible placements for:
Day Pupils
Young people who live at home with parents or carers, within a foster placement or in an external residential care setting can attend Caledonian Campus as day pupils.
Care & Education Placements
Pupils living within a Spark of Genius Residential Placement can access education alongside their care provision, providing a holistic approach to their individual needs.
